Discover a wealth of intriguing history on this unique city tour of England's vibrant capital. The city of London has a history that extends back over 2,000 years. Starting with its earliest beginnings, this walking tour focuses on London's Roman and medieval past, but moves right up into the modern age. In addition to artefacts from the city's rich past, which were recovered during excavations and are now on display in the Museum of London, we trace back the city’s history from the foundation of Londinium in AD 43 up to the beginning of the 20th century at Whitechapel, and discover the secrets of this global metropolis as we go.

Tour highlights:

  • Visit London Mithraeum to view the temple remains in their new location
  • Delve into the 18th century at Dennis Severs’ House, with its amazing recreated interior
  • Walk along the remains of the London Roman wall and discover other Roman sites hidden beneath the modern street level
